The new generation of tiller-controlled electic outboards is casting off.  Faster, stronger and more attractive.  They get lightweight tenders nicely on plane and move sailboats up to 4 tons elegantly across the sea.  Unlike their predecessors, both of these compact power packs are now fully protected against complete immersion and, like all Torqeedo outboards, are equally suitable for cruising on lakes and oceans.  Depending on horsepower, the T models require one or two of our power batteries that can be easily connected using the supplied cables.  Despite its immense power, it remains a lightweight - at 39.2 lbs, the 2.0 T model can still be shouldered easily and the extra 10 oz that the 4.0 T weighs is hardly worth mentioning.  Tiller display provides information about battery charge status, ramaining range, speed over ground, and input power.  Infinitely variable forward/reverse drive.
